MY DESIGN STRATEGY: as a kid, i always loved crafts. i wore a million anklets and bracelets at once made of embroidery thread, and my favorite part was picking out the colors i wanted to use. today, i still love color and the energy created by different combinations of color. when i make jewelry, i visit my local bead store and spend at least an hour walking around the store un-strategically picking out whichever beads catch my eye and ignite my creativity. when i get home, i lay them all out on my desk and begin mixing and matching so that each piece feels like me. each piece has something special about its texture, pattern, and color, or all three.

 

OTHER RAMBLING: i strongly believe that we all hold a lot of power as producers and consumers. our choices matter and our money talks. values that are very important to me which i try to uphold are: purchasing from local and independently run businesses, purchasing ecologically/humanely sound and sustainable materials, purchasing materials that are made safely for the producers and traded fairly, including cooperatives, as well as making my own products available affordably to you. (sometimes i can't be spot on with all of these values, but i do try!)
